Donald Trump, who is currently serving as the 47th president of the United States of America, issued a statement about the possibility of pardoning Diddy.
Sean “Diddy” Combs, ahead of his sentencing in high profile federal case, was rumoured to be getting a presidential pardon after Trump showed interest in the suit.
In an interview with Newsmax, a shift was noticeable in the businessman’s stance as he admitted the rapper was “hostile” towards him after his entrance in politics.
The politician was asked if he would grant pardon to the Bad Boy Records owner to which he stated that he was “sort of half-innocent.”
He gave his opinion that the musician was “celebrating a victory… I guess it wasn’ t as good as a victory.”
The media personality recalled that Diddy seemed like a “nice guy” and they “got along” well before running for the office.
However, the record executive became “hostile” after Trump joined politics and made some “terrible statements” about him.
“It makes it more difficult to do,” he added.
The interviewer asked if it was “a no for Combs” to which the republican replied: “It sounds like.”
On the other hand, it was reported that Diddy’s team is attempting to reach out to Trump. He was seemingly serious about giving the music mogul a get out of jail free card.
