Margot Robbie eyed for Tim Burton’s 1958 horror remake

Margot Robbie is currently being eyed by Warner Bro Studio for a role in 1958’s science fiction and horror remake, Attack of the Fifty Foot Woman.

She is being considered to play the lead role of Nancy Archer, originally portrayed by the late Alison Hayes.

The film will be directed by Tim Burton, and if the news is confirmed, Robbie will also serve as a producer with her production company, LuckyChap.

In February 2024, it was announced that Burton was working on the 1958 horror reimagining. He planned to direct and produce alongside Andrew Mittman and Tommy Harper.

The first draft was penned by Gillian Flynn, but she did not continue with the script due to commitments with other projects. Currently, the producers are searching for Flynn’s replacement.

Attack of the Fifty Foot Woman follows Nancy Archer, a wealthy heiress sets on to take revenge on her cheating husband after an alien encounter.

Notably, Robbie’s 2023 Barbie made Warner Bros, $1.45 billion, which prompted them to sign a multi-year deal with her production company, which she co-owns with Tom Ackerley, Josey McNamara, and Sophia Kerr.

Currently, the 35-year-old actress is filming Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights in the Yorkshire Dales. The film will be released on February 13, 2026.
