Chappell Roan issued a major update on her upcoming single The Subway on social media, sparking reactions from fans.
On July 28, the 27-year-old singer took to Instagram and posted a picture of herself surrounded by red wigs similar to her hair.
She captioned her new post, “The Subway out July 31 8 pm EST.”
Netizens rushed to the comment section to express their joy about the news. One fan wrote, "This is a birthday gift to me."
Another well-wisher penned, “So excited for this one.”
Earlier this month, the Pink Pony Club singer was spotted in New York filming a music video, which fans speculate is for her track, The Subway.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, the songwriter’s posters appeared across the city, showing her with a small clip on her hair. The slogan read, “Going through a breakup? Get bangs!”
Notably, last week, Chappell released a teaser video of her singing, “I’m still counting down all of the days ‘Til you’re just another girl on the subway.” The lyrics suggested the song must be about her ex, whom she sees on the metro.
For the unversed, Good Luck! Babe hitmaker will perform at the Reading and Leeds festival, which will take place from August 21 to 24.
Chappell Roan's second album has a potential release date in late 2025, though no dates have been announced yet.
