Ryan Gosling, along with directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller have made their way to Comic-Con to discuss Project Hail Mary.
The movie, which is slated for release in March of 2026, follows the Barbie star’s character Ryland Grace, a high school teacher as he navigates the challenges of being tasked with going to space.
Ryland must figure out why many stars, including the sun, are dying in order to subsequently prevent extinction on earth.
"It took me places I've never been, it showed me things I had never seen," the Drive actor noted to the fans in San Diego on Saturday, July 26.
Later on, the Golden Globe award winner went on to discuss the role he was playing, and how he related to it.
Ryan explained, "What’s so inspiring about him is he reacts to a lot of things like I might or a lot of us might, and he’s terrified appropriately of the task at hand.”
The Canadian actor also stayed true to his nature, taking a break from serious descriptions to quip that it seemed like Ryland was a space caveman dressed in a placenta onesie.
Yes, Ryan Gosling and his wife Eva Mendes are the parents of two beautiful daughters, Esmeralda and Amada.
