Anne Hathaway teases ‘Devil Wears Prada 2’ with iconic throwback

Anne Hathaway teased that the production has started for the highly anticipated sequel to The Devil Wears Prada on TikTok.

Reminiscent of the scene from the original where Andy could be seen quickly getting ready, Hathaway did so this time with an electric toothbrush, wearing a cerulean blue sweater that became iconic in the first film.

“Heading to werk #dwp2,” she wrote in the caption.

“It’s not just blue, it’s not turquoise, it’s not lapis. It’s actually cerulean,” commented a fan, referencing the line from Meryl Streep’s character.

“SHE’S WEARING THAT CERULEAN BLUE!!!!,” excitedly claimed another.

“Feel like a kid waiting for Christmas for Devil Wears Prada SEQUEL!!!!,” added a third.

In the scene, Streep’s Miranda Priestly berated Andy for cluelessness in regards to fashion color shades, “I see, you think this has nothing to do with you,” she remarks. “You go to your closet and you select, I don’t know that lumpy blue sweater, for instance, because you’re trying to tell the world that you take yourself too seriously to care about what you put on your back."

“But what you don’t know is that that sweater is not just blue, it’s not turquoise, it’s not lapis, it’s actually cerulean,” she clarified. “Then it trickled down into some tragic, casual corner where you fished it out of some clearance bin. That blue represents millions of dollars and countless jobs, and it’s sort of comical how you think you’ve made a choice that exempts you from the fashion industry.”

The video comes after it was confirmed that alongside the two, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci will also be returning.
