The cast of the forthcoming Harry Potter TV series descend on London Zoo for the famous Dudley Dursley birthday scene from the first book and film in the first set photos.

Based on J.K. Rowling's eponymous novels, the eagerly awaited series was first revealed in 2023 and then confirmed in April of this year.

Fans will be thrilled to learn that filming has started after a protracted wait for the announcement of the three main child stars in May.

The first images from the show, which will premiere on HBO in 2027, have been made public.

The 2001 film Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, features the scenes right before Harry sneaks away from his cousin Dudley's birthday celebration at the London Zoo.

After assisting a Burmese python in escaping its cage, the child discovers that he possesses magical abilities.

Harry, played by Dominic McLaughlin, is seen wearing a blue hoodie and his recognisable round glasses in the new photos, which were taken at the London Zoo in Regent's Park.
