Charlie Day reveals whether he’d appear on wife Mary’s show

Charlie Day attended the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia 20th anniversary celebration in Los Angeles where he expressed his desire to be on screen with his wife.

Mary Elizabeth Ellis’ latest series is A Man on the Inside, about which he remarked, "I would love to be on her show, but I know they just wrapped their second season. I'll have to keep my fingers crossed for a third.”

On the attention she has been receiving for her performance, the actor said, "I mean, it's just the greatest thing. I, of course, adore my wife, and she's a fantastic actor. Everyone knows her from Sunny and loves her on Sunny, but she's been in all these great things, like Licorice Pizza, and she's incredible in that."

Day continued, "Mike Schur is such a great showrunner. And obviously, to get to work with Ted and this year Mary Steenburgen [Danson's actress wife], I'm really excited that she got that opportunity and that she's getting introduced to a whole new audience.”

The two tied the knot in New Orleans in 2006 and had a son in December 2011.
