Olivia Rodrigo has taken a subtle dig at 'the 1975' frontman Matty Healy, who claimed to be the ‘best songwriter’ of this generation, as she performed at Glastonbury Festival on June 29, Sunday.

"I don’t think I have ever seen so many people in my life. Holy f*cking shit", Rodrigo said as she took to the fest’s iconic main stage.

The songstress spellbound more than 250,000 people with stunning performances of her fan favourite songs, including, Jealousy, Jealousy, good 4 you and traitor.

Much to the fans’ surprise, the deja vu singer brought The Cure’s Robert Smith on stage and the pair performed Just Like Heaven and Friday I’m in Love Together.

The 22-year-old Vampire hitmaker took a subtle dig at Matty Healy as she declared Robert ‘the greatest songwriter to come out of England’.

Previously, the 1975’s frontman, while performing Headliner set at the same Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage, also boldly claimed to be the ‘greatest songwriter of his generation’.

A controversy also erupted at the ‘crown jewel’ of music events as Bob Vylan chanted slogans against the Israeli Defense Force: “Death death to the IDF”.

Management issued a statement distancing themselves from the chants: “The chants crossed the line.”

Emily Eavis, daughter of Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis, said, “There is no place at Glastonbury for anti-semitism or incitement of violence”.

When did Glastonbury Festival end?

Glastonbury Festival kicked off on Wednesday, June 25, saw an audience of over 250,000 people, and wrapped up with the last performance by Olivia on Sunday, June 29.
