Where will Princess Charlotte go to school? Insiders reveal top picks

With Prince George expected to attend Eton College next year, attention has turned to where Prince William and Kate Middleton will send their daughter, Princess Charlotte.

While no official announcement has been made, royal watchers believe the couple is considering two elite institutions: Marlborough College and St Mary’s Ascot.

Princess Charlotte, currently enrolled at Lambrook School alongside her brothers, is still a few years away from switching schools.

Marlborough College, Kate’s own alma mater, is a top-tier co-educational school in Wiltshire, known for its academic rigour and famous alumni, including Kate’s siblings and Princess Eugenie.

Boarding fees for the 2024/2025 year are listed at £50,985 annually.

Another strong contender is St Mary’s Ascot, an all-girls Catholic boarding school with a smaller intake. It costs up to £63,180 per year for full boarders.

The school counts Lady Louise Windsor and Lady Margarita Armstrong-Jones among its royal alumnae.

For now, the Wales children remain at Lambrook, but as Prince George prepares for Eton, the royal couple will soon need to finalize choices for Charlotte and Prince Louis, decisions that balance tradition, privacy, and world-class education.
