Yungblud releases highly anticipated album ‘Idols’
The British singer's most ambitious project yet, ‘Idols’ marks the first part of a two-album series
Fans of Yungblud are in for a treat with the release of his fourth studio album, Idols, on June 20.
According to Billboard, the British rocker calls it his “most ambitious” project to date, blending various genres and tackling deeply emotional themes.
Marking the start of a two-part album series, Idols was crafted in Doncaster with long-time collaborator Matt Schwartz, along with bandmates Adam Warrington and Bob Bradley.
The outlet also reports that the 27-year-old deliberately distanced himself from mainstream writing camps, opting to work in Leeds with a small team to create something personal.
The album features the single Zombie, which has already captured attention for its visual collaboration with actress Florence Pugh and its tribute to the National Health Service (NHS) workers.
It is also considered one of Yungblud’s most emotional tracks and sets the tone for the Idols’ themes.
The latest project follows the success of the singer’s 2022 self-titled album, which topped the U.K. Albums Chart.
