Eric Dane has opened up about his battled with ALS in an emotional interview.
The actor, best known for his roles in Grey’s Anatomy and Euphoria, was diagnosed with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as ALS, which he announced in April.
In an appearance on Good Morning America, the actor broke down in tears talking about his disease.
“I wake up every day and I’m immediately reminded that this is happening. It’s not a dream”, the actor said.
Eric said “I don’t think this is the end of my story. I don’t feel like this is the end of me”.
The actor, who has been working on the sets of Euphoria Season 3, revealed his health battle in April saying “I have been diagnosed with ALS. I am grateful to have my loving family by my side as we navigate this next chapter.”.
ALS is an incurable disease that affects the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. The life expectancy of a diagnosed patient is from three to five years on average.
