Dakota Johnson opens up on working with Pedro Pascal

Actress and producer Dakota Johnson is returning to the big screen in the romantic comedy movie Materialists, coming out on June 13, 2025.

The movie is based on a love triangle between Johnson and her co-stars Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal.

The storyline of the movie goes: A young New York City matchmaker's lucrative business gets complicated as she finds herself torn between the perfect match (Pascal) and her imperfect ex (Evans).

Fifty Shades franchise star appeared on the red carpet of her anticipated movie’s premiere on Saturday, June 7.

While talking to E! News, the interviewer asked Johnson’s emotions about getting a part in the movie.

“Well, I couldn’t believe that Celine wanted to work with me.” She said, referring to the director of the movie, Celine Song, “I was desperate to just meet her because I think she’s an incredible filmmaker. And when I read it, it was just so poetic and beautiful conversations.”

Furthermore, as the interviewer asked the actress that she is working with “internet’s boyfriend”, Pedro Pascal, so “what’s the best part starring alongside him?”

“Well, we’re really close friends,” the 35-year-old star said, “So, the best part was just hanging out all the time.”
