Meghan Markle 'focused on present' as Prince Harry hopes for reconciliation with royals

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly facing a major dilemma as they continue to be “left out” of royal inner circles amid their ongoing rift with the royal family. 

While Harry has expressed hopes of reconciliation, Meghan is said to be taking a more “business-like” approach to the estrangement, according to People magazine.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back from royal duties five years ago and have since launched various public criticisms of the Firm. 

But insiders say Harry still struggles with the distance from his family, especially as he finds it difficult to get reliable updates on King Charles’ health.

“They’re aware of everything going on in England, but they’re being left out of the details,” a source told People. “There’s clearly no trust.”

Harry recently told the BBC that his father “won’t speak to me” and admitted: “I would love reconciliation with my family. 

There’s no point continuing to fight any more, life is precious.”

Royal experts say trust remains the core issue. “The King and William don’t trust Harry and Meghan with any kind of confidential conversation,” said biographer Sally Bedell Smith. 

And according to Valentine Low, even Harry’s softer interviews risk being seen as veiled attacks.
