DDG, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., made bombshell claims about his former partner Halle Bailey in their ongoing custody battle.
On June 4, the 27-year-old rapper filed an emergency motion to oppose Halle from taking their son to Italy.
DDG admitted that The Little Mermaid lead poses “an imminent emotional and psychological risk” to herself and their child Halo.
In the legal documents, the Impatient hitmaker alleged that Halle usually resorted to “emotional coercion and manipulation” to control the musician during their relationship.
During their on-off relationship, The Color Purple star would use “self-harm or ending her life” as a way to manipulate DDG.
The musician highlighted a particular incident when his former partner was pregnant in 2023. Halle presumably pressurised the youtuber by using “abortion” as a way to “reconcile.”
In another instance, the Last Holiday actress threatened to commit suicide with “[DDG's] legally owned firearm.”
Apart from the threats, the Storyteller crooner revealed being stalked by the actress, enduring physical and verbal abuse.
Considering the alleged mental state of the mother, the Well Off singer called the petitioner “a threat” to their young boy’s safety.
He is demanding either full custody of Halo or a settlement of a visitation plan with the songwriter.
Why did Halle Bailey file case against DDG?
This came in response to the Grown-ish star asking for a primary guardianship of the 1-year-old kid, accusing the social media star of physical abuse during their parenting exchange.
