Halle Bailey makes shocking claims about DDG

Halle Bailey, who played Ariel in Disney’s live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid, recently got a restraining order against DDG, claiming abuse.

The Ungodly Hour singer stated that the rapper, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., attacked her in the presence of their one-year-old son, Halo.

In court documents obtained by Page Six, the Overwhelmed crooner claimed that the Impatient singer got angry and violent during a visit he paid to her house, with the intention of taking their infant back to his place.

The pair was discussing Halo’s visitation schedule while the 25-year-old was buckling him into DDG’s car seat. During that time, the former Youtuber began saying, “Get out of my car, bitch,” which he repeated multiple times.

This raised concern in the Let It Shine actress’s mind, and the situation quickly escalated into a broil, which allegedly resulted in Halle getting injured.

She claimed that her ex-boyfriend shoved her face into the steering wheel and pulled her hair, which chipped one of her teeth.

Halle also shared images of her cracked front tooth, as well as bruising on one of her upper arms as proof of the abuse.

Notably, the Grammy nominee also presented instances of verbal abuse in the filing for the restraining order, which was approved by the LA courts.

How long did Halle Bailey and DDG date?

Halle and DDG dated for around two years, from January 2022 to October 2024. The couple decided to co-parent their son, Halo, post-split.
