'Wednesday' Season 2: Lady Gaga's surprising role revealed

Lady Gaga, who is known for her dark and eccentric persona, is all set to appear in the upcoming season of Netflix's hit Wednesday.

The ongoing rumour about the 39-year-old singer’s appearance on the series was finally confirmed by the star cast on the Netflix’s Tudum.

According to the streaming giant, Gaga is expected to take on the role of Rosaline Rotwood, who teaches at Nevermore Academy.

The Bad Romance hitmaker will be sharing screen with the star cast of the web show: Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman, Isaac Ordonez and others.

Before the big news was announced, Gaga emerged from a coffin with “Here lies the Monster Queen” inscribed on it.

The Just Dance crooner performed her chart-topping hits including Zombieboy, Abracadabra and Bloody Mary, which paved way for her to be on the horror comedy.

The 14-time Grammy winner later took to her Instagram to share a picture of her and Ortega standing in the coffin with their hands crossed.

She added a fun caption: “#dead @jennaortega love u lady.”

Fans were overwhelmed after learning about her cameo in the upcoming project as one user wrote: “I am waiting for Aug to approach.”

Another user chimed in: “Congratulations mom for everything!”

A third one expressed their gratitude to the one “who put Blood Mary in that edit” of Ortega dancing in the first season.

When is Season 2 of Wednesday coming out?

The new season is divided into two parts with the first one scheduled to release on August 6, 2025. The second part which will be available on September 3, 2025 for streaming on the platform.
