Barbie actress Ariana Greenblatt has been named the newest spokesperson for L’Oreal Paris, as which she attended the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.
About the honour, she told People, "When I found out I was going to be an ambassador, I definitely was overwhelmed . .. I didn't know what to expect or truly [understand] the capacity of this insane opportunity until I met everybody, and everybody is so sweet. What I truly love about this brand is the people and everybody involved with L'Oréal Paris."
The festival also marked the 5th year of the L'Oréal Paris' Lights on Women's Worth Awards, which seeks to highlight women’s voices in the film industry.
Academy Award-winning actress as well as another L’Oreal Paris spokesperson, Viola Davis took the position of juror, coming after Elle Fanning and Kate Winslet.
Davis will be presenting the prestigious award to one talented female director from the Cannes Short Film Competition or La Cinef selection.
About the awards, Greenblatt stated, "I think it's exceptionally important. I think women in film are unbelievably underestimated and under appreciated, and to be a part of a brand and a family that supports and prioritizes women in film is just a huge priority for me. It feels in line with my morals and what I believe in."
On her trip for the festival, she remarked, "I bought three cameras for this trip for some reason, so I'm just kind of filming and taking pictures of everything. But I thought it was funny because there were so many cameras in front of me, so I was like, 'I take pictures of you too,' and we had a moment. It was fun."
