Filmmaker Woody Allen, who has been accused of sexual assault by multiple women, has made a comment on Donald Trump that has left him being criticised by masses.
The director expressed his hopes to work with the President of US again, who worked with him on the 1988 movie Celebrity.
“I’m one of the few people who can say he directed Trump.”, he said on the Bill Maher's Club Random podcast.
Praising Trump’s on-set behaviour, Woody said, “He was a pleasure to work with and a very good actor. He was very polite, hit his mark, did everything correctly and had a real flair for show business.”
He also expressed his desire to work with Trump again, saying “I could direct him now. If he would let me direct him now that he’s president, I think I could do wonders.”
Woody has revealed that despite wanting to work with the US president, he did not vote for him in the 2024 elections.
However, Woody’s comment has sparked buzz about the sexual abuse allegations against him.
A social media user wrote, “You couldn't script a better joke: a failed director putting faith in a failed president.”
Woody Allen has been married thrice.
