James Bond is one of the most watched movie franchise of all time which follows the quests of the British superspy, often known for his sharp tuxedos.

Till now seven actors have played the role of the spy in the movies that are based on the novels by Ian Fleming.

One of the most famous James Bond portrayals is credited to Irish actor Pierce Brosnan who played 007 in seven movies from 1995 to 2002.

While promoting his new movie, The Thursday Murder Club, the actor made a shocking comment on playing the secret agent.

Pierce revealed the thing he regrets doing after landing the role.

The actor said he was impressed by his successor Daniel Craig doing theatre after saying good bye to the Bond role which made him regret not going back to stage.

“I was impressed that Daniel had the bottle to go back out there. I thought: 'Why the heck didn’t I?’ You have to really want it, and I didn’t.”, Pierce told The Guardian.

He added, “It’s essential to be creative outside of Bond.”.

Previously, the actor gave advice to the upcoming Bond, saying the new James Bond should be “bold”.

How many actors have played James Bond?

Seven actors have played James Bond so far. First one being Sean Connery, followed by David Niven, George Lazenby, Roger Moore and Timothy Dalton. The last two 007 were played by Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig.
