Billy Joel’s eldest daughter, Alexa Ray Joel, opened up on her social media account to share a heartfelt note in response to her father’s serious health update.
On Friday, May 23, the American singer made a public announcement about cancelling his upcoming tours after being diagnosed with normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH).
On May 24, the 39-year-old pianist gave a nod to her father in an emotional Instagram post, stating, "SOUND UP (dove emoji) We love you and we got you, Pop!"
The legendary musician's daughter also thanked her followers in the caption for their love and support.
Along with the post, she shared a monochrome picture of father and daughter holding hands, accompanied by her father’s iconic song Lullabye (Goodnight, My Angel).
She went on to say, "My Dad is the strongest and most resilient man I’ve ever known … and he’s entirely committed to making a full recovery with ongoing physical-therapy treatments as he continues to regain his strength."
The Only the Good Die Young hitmaker has been advised to undergo physical therapy and cancel his upcoming performances due to health reasons.
Billy's daughters include Alexa Ray, 39, whom he shares with his ex-Christie Brinkley, and Della Rose Joel, 9, and Remy Anne Joel, 7, with Alexis Roderick.
Billy Joel was diagnosed with normal pressure hydrocephalus after he fell on stage at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut in February 2025.
