Thomas Rhett left everyone shocked as he revealed an unknown link to One Direction when stopped for a red carpet interview at the ACM Awards.

The 36-year-old star, who is notable for his country music, spilled the beans before hitting the road for his The Soundtrack to Life tour.

He admitted that fans can expect Niall Horan to accompany him for several concerts this year. The star revealed that he is one of the superfans of the boy band.

The two were connected through the Die a Happy Man songmaker’s music producer, sharing the shocking detail during his interview with Billboard.

Thomas proved his admiration for the former boys group while putting up a show on his hit track Ain’t a Bad Life with Jordan Davis.

It appears that Niall has a busy schedule with his upcoming concerts and so he won’t be attending the wedding of his former bandmate Harry Styles who is in relationship with Zoe Kravitz.

Who won Song of the Year at the ACM Awards?

The 61st Academy of Country Music Awards took place on May 17, 2026, honouring several country artists for their musical contributions.
