Billy Joel cancels all shows, reveals scary health diagnosis

Iconic singer Billy Joel has cancelled all of his upcoming tour dates in a shocking move after suffering an on-stage fall in February and postponing his shows through June.

In a statement posted to Instagram, it was revealed that he has been diagnosed with normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH).

He is now going through specific physical therapy under the guidance of his doctor, also having been "advised to refrain from performing during this recovery period."

According to the statement, Joel is "thankful for the excellent care he is receiving and is fully committed to prioritizing his health. He is grateful for the support from fans during this time and looks forward to the day when he can once again take the stage."

"I’m sincerely sorry to disappoint our audience, and thank you for understanding," added the singer.

As for the refunds for the shows, no action will be required on the part of the fans as they will automatically be processed back.

Among the cancelled shows include his concerts in New York this summer as well as in New Orleans, Toronto, Santa Clara, Salt Lake City, Washington, D.C. and Liverpool.
