Billy Joel, an iconic musician, took to his Instagram to announce that he will be postponing his tour by 4 months due to medical issues.
The singer explained that the decision was made due to “a medical condition” since he has to "undergo physical therapy under the supervision of his doctors” after a recent surgery.
The postponed shows will include 8 concerts in North America and Europe, some of which were to be co-headlined by Sting and Stevie Nicks.
His team reassured the fans, writing, "Joel is expected to make a full recovery. The tour will resume at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh on July 5, 2025."
Also giving a statement of his own, Joel wrote, "While I regret postponing any shows, my health must come first.”
He added, "I look forward to getting back on stage and sharing the joy of live music with our amazing fans. Thank you for your understanding."
