Zara Tindall has always been a beloved royal figure despite not holding a working royal title, and now a former royal staffer has shared just how much of an impact she has behind palace walls.
Jack Stooks, a former royal gardener, said Zara shares a particularly strong bond with her uncle, King Charles III, helping to bring out a lighter, more mischievous side that the public rarely gets to see.
Speaking on behalf of Fruity King, he revealed: "Zara always seems quite lighthearted. The King has a good sense of humour and is fun as well, but people don’t necessarily see that much."
"They don’t know what he’s like, so he can seem a bit stiff. But I think Zara brings a bit of that cheeky naughtiness out of him, and she can always make him laugh."
Stooks also praised the grounded lifestyle Zara and her husband Mike Tindall have cultivated, far from the typical royal bubble.
"They're just very normal down-to-earth people," he said.
"You see them in Tesco and they’re just left alone to shop. Even though they’re royal, they don’t act like they need any kind of special treatment."
Grant Harrold, a former royal butler, also weighed in, adding that Zara offers quiet but solid support across the royal family.
"She's very fond of her uncle and step-aunt, as well as her cousins William and Harry. She’s a great support to the entire Royal Family. She’s just got a lovely way about her."
