Sarah Ferguson believes the late Queen Elizabeth II is still communicating with her in the most unexpected way.

The Duchess of York, 65, opened up during a recent appearance at the Creative Women Forum networking event in London, where she revealed that she feels the late monarch connects with her through the Queen’s beloved corgis, Muick and Sandy.

Speaking to British director and women's advocate Rebeca Riofrio, Sarah said: "Every morning, they [the dogs] come in and go ‘woof woof’ and all that, and I’m sure it’s her talking to me."

Sarah and her ex-husband Prince Andrew took in the two royal corgis after Queen Elizabeth’s death in 2022, and they now live at Royal Lodge on the Windsor estate.

The duchess, who maintained a close relationship with the Queen even after her divorce from Andrew, reflected on just how much the late monarch meant to her.

"I had the greatest honour to be her daughter-in-law. You know, that’s pretty huge," Sarah said.

This isn’t the first time Sarah has spoken so warmly about Queen Elizabeth. In a 2023 interview with People, she praised the Queen’s remarkable ability to connect with people.

"She was so brilliant at putting you at ease. She had the most incredible faith of any single person I've ever met," Sarah shared.

"She just knew what to do. She knew how to make people feel good. She never took it on board as about her. It’s about the monarchy, about making someone feel good. She was my total idol."
