Sarah Ferguson has announced a new business venture, one inspired by her growing role as a grandmother.
The Duchess of York, known for her bestselling children’s books and philanthropic efforts, is now stepping into the world of environmentally conscious parenting products with the launch of a line of eco-friendly nappies.
The initiative, which was first reported by The Daily Mail's Richard Eden, stems from Sarah’s personal experience with her four grandchildren: August and Ernest Brooksbank (children of Princess Eugenie), and Sienna and Athena Mapelli Mozzi (children of Princess Beatrice).
She is also a step-grandmother to Princess Beatrice's stepson, Christopher Woolf.
"I've created an eco-friendly nappy," the Duchess told The Daily Mail. "I think it's very exciting, being a grandmother, because the more grandchildren I have, the more urgency there is for compostable diapers."
A source close to the Duchess told Express UK that the project is expected to include a significant charitable component, aligning with her long-standing efforts to give back through her public platform.
In interviews and on her podcast, the Duchess has spoken fondly about her grandchildren. Of her eldest grandson, August, she once said: "He's a very strong little chap. August thinks I'm hysterical… he goes all shy and flirts with me."
