A source close to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is pushing back against reports suggesting they hosted a "secret summit" with Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz to support them amid their rumoured fallout with David and Victoria Beckham.
Earlier this week, The Sun reported that Harry and Meghan offered their “unwavering support” to Brooklyn and Nicola at a private dinner at their Montecito home.
According to that report, Meghan and Nicola allegedly bonded over claims that both women were blamed for causing family tensions within their respective households.
However, People magazine, a US outlet that Meghan recently gave an interview to, paints a very different picture.
Citing an insider, the publication claimed the dinner was actually part of a larger gathering for VIP guests and film executives, not a private intervention.
The source clarified: "Brooklyn and Nicola were invited prior to David's numerous global birthday galas, so the timing is pure coincidence. While it was an intimate gathering, there were several additional guests, including VIPs and film executives."
The insider added that Brooklyn and Nicola "had a wonderful time" and found Harry and Meghan to be "particularly kind, caring and generous."
After the gathering, it's understood the couples exchanged contact details, though it remains unclear if they have stayed in touch.
The gathering also reignited interest in Harry and Meghan’s previous falling out with David and Victoria Beckham, despite the Beckhams attending the Sussexes' 2018 royal wedding.
Meghan allegedly suspected Victoria of leaking private stories to the press, which strained relations between the two power couples.
