Chris Brown is getting vocal about his long-time incarcerated friend.
The rapper took to Instagram yesterday to once again call for the release of Tory Lanez with a simple message.
Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2023 after being found guilty of gross negligence in the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.
The brotherly support comes after two significant developments for Lanez as he bides his time behind bars.
Earlier this week, the 32-year-old was stabbed 14 times in a housing unit at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi.
The Canadian artist survived the brutal attack but reportedly suffered collapsed lungs and was placed on a breathing apparatus.
The second development occurred on Wednesday when Lanez’s legal team revealed that Kelsey Harris’ bodyguard has testified that it was she who shot Megan.
The bodyguard claims that Harris, a former friend of Megan, was present on the night of the shooting and had a gun during the incident.
The Chris Brown–Tory Lanez friendship goes back years. The duo has helped one another through thick and thin, whether it is promoting each other’s music or providing financial support.
In fact, Lanez publicly thanked Brown for paying his legal fees for the Megan Thee Stallion shooting trial.
