Jennifer Aniston’s Los Angeles home was targeted in a shocking security scare this week after a man reportedly crashed his car into her front gate.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, 48-year-old Jimmy Wayne Carwyle was arrested and booked for felony vandalism after the incident unfolded on Monday, May 5 at around 12:20 p.m.
The Friends icon was reportedly at home during the crash, sources told KABC-TV, as confirmed by the Associated Press.
Authorities said that private security detained the suspect on-site until LAPD officers arrived and took him into custody without incident.
“Comments from the call stated that a male suspect drove through the gate of the residence in his vehicle,” LAPD told Fox News Digital.
Aniston’s home is listed under a trust run by her business manager, according to online property records cited by AP.
The investigation remains ongoing, and it’s unclear at this stage whether the man had any personal motive or connection to Aniston.
Aniston joins a growing list of A-listers targeted in high-profile home invasions and break-ins in the Los Angeles area in recent months.
In February 2024, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban had their home broken into on Valentine’s Day, when intruders smashed a glass door and fled the scene.
In June 2023, an intruder trespassed onto Pierce Brosnan’s Malibu property, using a neighbour’s laundry room before entering his guesthouse. The L.A. Sheriff’s helicopter unit was called in to apprehend the suspect.
