Leighton Meester, known for her role as Blair Waldorf on Gossip Girl, remembers co-star Michelle Trachtenberg, who played the character of Georgina Sparks.

For the first time, That's My Boy actress shared her feelings regarding Michelle Trachtenberg's death, recalling the strong bond developed among them during her time on the show Gossip Girl.

The model stated, “It’s devastating she was a wonderful, talented person, and everyone loved her. It’s very, very sad for everyone who knew her. "

Meester,39, continued, saying, "Now, I can see that [the show’s legacy] continues — in some ways, even more so than back then — to live on, which is incredible."

On February 26, at the age of 39, the authorities found Michelle unresponsive in her New York City apartment.

Trachtenberg's official demise was revealed on April 16, with the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner affirming to PEOPLE that her sudden death resulted from diabetes mellitus complications.

The actor went on to share that she hadn’t crossed paths with the Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress in over a decade, describing her as having a “really pure heart.”
