Lorde reveals how Charli XCX helped her

Lorde is set to make her comeback on the music scene with the release of her new album Virgin.

The New Zealand singer revealed how Charli XCX helped her on the new album.

The Royals singer shared Charli XCX’s 2024 hit album brat gave her the courage to share her vulnerable side.

In an interview with BBC Radio 1’s Jack Saunders, Lorde admitted that she never believed the album would ever release.

“I wrote this from the perspective of, 'Well I could never say that.’ It was just sort of an exercise in saying everything I needed to say about a whole lot of different stuff and I put off dealing with that.”

She further shared that Charli’s vulnerability on brat gave her the kick stat she needed saying “Brat coming out really gave me a kick.”

“It forced me to further define what I was doing because Charli had so masterfully defined everything about Brat.”

Previously, Lorde featured on Charli’s remix of Girl, so confusing.
