Australian Emergency Services Troll Coldplay ‘Kiss Cam’ Cheating Scandal with Hilarious Memes
Australian emergency services, including police and fire departments, jumped on the viral Coldplay "kiss cam" scandal, involving a CEO and his HR manager, to create a series of hilarious memes.
On Wednesday, July 16, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin caught two unsuspecting fans in a seemingly compromising moment during a kiss cam segment at Gillette Stadium.
The man had his arms around the woman, who looked startled when the camera landed on them.
“Oh, what?” Martin said from the stage. “Either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy.”
The clip quickly went viral as online sleuths revealed the pair were actually co-workers, a CEO and his HR manager, sparking widespread speculation about a potential office affair.
Riding the viral wave, Australian emergency agencies began using the moment to create clever memes by Friday.
The NSW Police Department shared a photoshopped image of the surprised couple in front of a police car with flashing lights, captioned:
“When you see flashing red and blue lights in your rearview on the way home from holiday.”
Meanwhile, Fire and Rescue NSW posted the duo in front of a burning house with the cheeky caption:
“Don’t let sparks fly… from your overloaded power board.”
Even Live Traffic NSW joined the fun, turning the meme into a promotional post encouraging drivers to download their app. The image was overlaid on a Sydney traffic map and read:
“Avoid unplanned incidents with Live Traffic NSW. If you're planning a drive this weekend, let us fix you up with a helpful tip. Download the app for planned event impacts (yes, including concerts).”
