Michael Madsen’s autopsy reveals hidden health struggles before death

The famous actor's harsh health battle prior to his unexpected death at the age of 67 earlier this month was documented in Michael Madsen's autopsy report.

The Kill Bill actor was discovered "unresponsive" at his Malibu residence. Madsen was later declared deceased on July 3.

Although Madsen's official death certificate showed that the star's death was caused by cardiomyopathy, coronary artery disease, and chronic alcoholism, Madsen's manager had previously claimed that the star had died from "cardiac arrest."

Thromboembolic disease, or blood clots that obstruct arteries or vessels, was another serious illness.

The L.A. County Medical Examiner's certificate states that Madsen's body was cremated since according to TMZ.

Coronary artery disease is a disorder that narrows or blocks the arteries that supply blood to the heart, limiting blood flow to the heart muscle and causing damage and oxygen deprivation.

This is one of the most common types of heart disease and affects one in 20 Americans above the age of 20.
