Olivia Rodrigo breaks her silence on her split from Louis Partridge

Olivia Rodrigo recently broke her silence on her split from Louis Partridge.

The American singer, who parted ways with Louis in December after two years of dating, reportedly confirmed she was in her “friendship love” era in her new album, You seem pretty sad for a girl so in love.

Vampire hit-maker revealed she’s ready to start dating again after being in her friendship love era.

When asked what phase of love she’s in right now, Olivia spoke to Cosmopolitan and replied, “I'm in the most important phase, the friendship love that I'm sitting right across from. Best friend, community love. Dating is just the cherry on top.”

Olivia explained what she had learnt from love, stating, “Patience. Things happen the way that they're supposed to happen. It's not supposed to be white-knuckle.”

For those unversed, Olivia and Louis first made headlines as a couple when they were spotted together in his hometown, London, in October 2023.

However, last year in December, the singer got emotional at her friend Lily Allen’s Christmas party at strip club Stringfellows in London over the breakup.

Prior to dating Louis, Olivia disclosed she used dating app Raya before meeting Louis, notably after the release of her album, Sour, in 2021.

But after being signed up for a month, she deleted her profile, saying, “It was just so bad.”
