Tom Holland, who is known for playing the role of Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Homecoming, was provided a helping hand while filming his audition tape for the Marvel’s movie.
Jon Bernthal, who is about to star alongside Tom in the upcoming The Odyssey, revealed that he takes “a little” bit of credit for helping the 28-year-old land the role of Spider-Man.
The 48-year-old recalled on Jimmy Kimmel Live! about the time when they were both preparing for their respective Marvel roles and The Walking Dead actor added a little twist to the Avengers: Doomsday star’s screen test.
While the chances were low, the Daredevil: Born Again actor encouraged Tom to add a little stunt into the reel.
“Maybe you should run up that wall and do a double backflip and then start the scene.” He convinced the BAFTA Award winner by noting that other “fools” won’t be able to perform that.
The two shared screen in Pilgrimage, where “Tom did his audition for Spider-Man and I did my audition for Punisher.” Jon revealed that they “made each other’s audition tapes [working] on that film.”
Although the Uncharted star was confident he will become the next Spidey, the Accountant 2 actor questioned the possibility of him being selected from “a lot of people that want to be Spider-Man.”
Tom Holland is engaged to his Spider-Man co-star Zendaya. The news was confirmed by one of his close friend Jacob Batalon. The duo is reportedly not planning to tie knot anytime soon.
