Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton have managed to maintain their image this past year, with the Prince and Princess of Wales once again emerging as the most popular royals in 2025, as per YouGov ratings.
Despite having a particularly hard few years, with a new monarch in place, and multiple serious medical struggles within the family (with Kate and King Charles’ cancer diagnoses), it is heartening to note that key senior royals remain popular.
As per YouGov, an online research data and analytics company, the most popular royal with the British public is Kate, with a net positive approval rating of +59 with a 74% Britons liking her. William, with 74% of positive rating, follows close behind with a net positive of +55.
Princess Anne, King Charles’ little sister, boats an approval rating of 70% with the public, with a net positive of +56, while King Charles himself and Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, round up the top five.
King Charles is approved by 59% of Britons, while 34% view him negatively, with his net favourability score at +25, the lowest it has been since he became monarch.
