Sir Elton John, who is suffering from vision loss in his right eye, has decided to end his 20-year long feud with Madonna due to a heart wrenching reason.
Although, Sir Elton paid a heartfelt tribute to his close friend Princess Diana by singing Candle In The Wind in 1997 at her funeral, the legend was devastated after his friend took their bad blood to her grave.
Their unresolved bitterness is one of the reasons why he ended his long-running dispute with the American songstress, as reported by Radar Online.
He fears after life punishment and doesn’t want “to go to his grave with bad karma hanging over his soul.”
Although the People's Princess passed away with unexpressed feelings against the British singer, “he was determined that the same thing wasn’t going to happen to Madonna.”
As the Your Song hitmaker feels like he was “edging closer to the grave,” the star expressed his pleasure that “Madonna have managed to put their differences behind them.”
While the Material Girl superstar and Sir Elton are back on good terms, the five-times Grammy winner reminisces his time spent with Diana, expressing his wish to “turn back the clock.”
The two-times Academy winner and The Princess of Wales stopped speaking to each other one year before her death after she decided to withdraw from a charity project which made the popstar upset.
But the legend has turned the tables in case of the 66-year-old.
The Rocket Man singer accused the Queen of Pop of lip-synching while speaking about her in a speech at the 2004 Q Awards.
Elton, who shares two sons with his filmmaker husband David Furnish, issued an apology to Madonna.
The seven-times Grammy winner accepted the plea as she took to Instagram to share a picture of the two, standing hand-in-hand with a long caption: “We finally buried the Hatchet!!!”
