Love is appearing to the ultimate royal remedy for King Charles, if the altest reports are to be believed.

According to veteran royal photographer Arthur Edwards, King Charles has mellowed out significantly — and it’s all thanks to Queen Camilla

As the royal couple gears up to celebrate 20 years of marriage this week during a state visit to Italy, Edwards shared his behind-the-scenes insight on how their relationship transformed the monarch.

“The main thing I’ve noticed is that the King... has become a nicer person,” Edwards revealed in The Sun. “Thanks to Camilla, he has calmed down.”

The King, now 76, reportedly used to get flustered over tiny details like closed windows or a lack of air in a room, but those temper flares seem to be history since marrying Camilla in 2005.

“All that pent-up anger seemed to disappear after he tied the knot,” Edwards added, pointing to Camilla’s calming presence. “She soothes the situation.”

Remember the viral pen meltdown during an official ceremony? Even then, Queen Camilla reportedly kept things under control.

The couple will mark their anniversary on April 9 with a black-tie state banquet in Rome, hosted by Italian President Sergio Mattarella at the historic Quirinale Palace.

What is King Charles and Queen Camilla's relationship timeline?

The couple first met in the early 1970s and began dating, but royal expectations and timing led Camilla to marry Andrew Parker Bowles in 1973, while Charles wed Lady Diana Spencer in 1981.

Despite their separate marriages, the pair maintained a close bond, with their affair becoming public in the early 1990s and fuelling widespread controversy.

Following their respective divorces—and Princess Diana’s tragic death in 1997—they made their first public appearance together in 1999 and married in a civil ceremony in 2005, after years of careful image management.
