Prince Harry is reeling after being accused of “harassment and bullying” by a charity boss, according to a close friend.

The Duke of Sussex, 40, recently stepped down as patron of Sentebale, the charity he co-founded as a teenager, amid a reported power struggle with chairwoman Sophie Chandauka.

Now, a friend claims Harry is “heartbroken” and feels as though the organisation has been taken from him.

Alex Rayner, who has known Harry since their Eton days, told the Daily Mail that he spoke with the Duke over the weekend.

“He is just beyond heartbroken and flabbergasted that the charity he founded as a teenager has been taken hostage by the chair,” he said. “It feels tantamount to a hostile takeover.”

Harry was reportedly blindsided by Chandauka’s accusations, which include claims he tried to have her removed through “bullying” and “harassment.”

The tension escalated after Harry allegedly sent an “unpleasant” message when she refused to publicly deny rumours of a rift between Meghan Markle and the charity.

While some sources dismissed Chandauka’s claims as a “publicity stunt,” Rayner suggested jealousy over Meghan could be a factor.

The controversy follows an awkward moment at a 2023 Sentebale polo event in Miami, where Chandauka was seen shifting her position away from Harry to stand beside Meghan.

Whether Harry will fight to reclaim his role at the charity remains uncertain, but for now, he is said to be feeling “wounded and betrayed.”
