Tom Holland surprised fans by revealing the title of the upcoming Spider-Man sequel via a video clip.
The English actor’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to be released on July 31, 2026.
Holland, 28, in the context of his character Peter Parker, called it a "fresh start."
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who is known for directing The Glass Castle and Just Mercy, also made an appearance at CinemaCon 2025.
“A ride that we haven’t really seen before. It’s something entirely new,” Cretton said about his movie.
The film continues the storyline from 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home. The plot is centred around a new beginning for Peter's life after the whole world forgets him.
The idea for the title is taken from the 2008 comic book, where Peter revamps his life after being erased from everyone's memory through a magical event.
Similarly, Spider-Man: No Way Home ended on a note where everyone had forgotten Peter’s existence.
Holland appeared in a video segment and thanked his fans, saying, "A massive thank you for all of your support."
