Jennifer Lopez embraces single life after Ben Affleck split: 'She's happy as it is'

Jennifer Lopez is embracing her independence and focusing on her family as she moves forward after her divorce from Ben Affleck.

According to a report by People, a source revealed the singer, 55, is 'focused' on work and is staying away from dating, after she and Affleck parted ways. 

“She's happy as it is. Life goes on, and if anyone can move forward and be positive about it, it's Jennifer,” the source shared. 

“She sees everything as a lesson. She was hurt by their sudden separation and Ben's unwillingness to work on their marriage. She really wanted it to work out.”

“She’s pouring her energy into her work, her kids, and building her new home,” the insider said. “Jennifer is at a point in her life where she’s content and fulfilled without needing to be in a relationship.”

In her divorce filing, Lopez listed April 26, 2024, as the date of their separation. As she approaches the one-year mark since their split, the Atlas star is reportedly in a good place.

“She's been focused on finding a new home for her and the kids,” the source added.

When did Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck part ways? 

Lopez officially filed for divorce from Affleck, 52, on August 20, 2024 — the date that would have marked their second wedding anniversary. 

After rekindling their romance in 2021 and tying the knot in a lavish ceremony in 2022, the couple finalized their divorce on January 6, 2025, and were officially declared single on February 21, 2025.
