Tom Holland delighted eager fans by sharing a glimpse of his highly anticipated Spider-Man: Brand New Day, but eagle-eyed netizens focused on a major change that had taken place.
The teaser, which was recently shared by the actor and Sony Pictures Entertainment, showed the Uncharted star standing front of a large doorway with his back towards the camera at first.
As it panned closer, the BAFTA award winner turned around, displaying a new Spider-Man suit and looking off to the camera to say, “We ready?” before looking back at the viewers as the instrumentals swelled in the background before the upcoming film’s logo flashed on screen.
The 29-year-old’s suit has seen various iterations over the course of the previous Spider-Man films he was featured in, and this one looked quite different from the previous ones.
Tom boasted the new outfit, which featured a larger spider emblem than before, with deeper shades of the iconic red and blue colours, as well as more prominent webbing.
It appears that the costume design was very well-received as numerous fans flocked to the comments to pen their approval with remarks such as, “FINALLY This suit is what it should have been all along,” and “It's genuinely perfect.”
Meanwhile a third observed, “So the logo is a nod to Garfield's suit logo and the raised webbing a nod to Maguire's? Cute. Wonder what they'll do with the eyes.”
Tom Holland has been in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) and Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) as well as the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
