Denise struggled to control her emotions while out on Friday with her 36-year-old rocker son, suggesting that things may have gotten too much for her. However, a source told TMZ that it was because of a "family matter."
The 1975 frontman was seated nearby to support the actress as she sat on the pavement outside Stella restaurant, wiping her eyes with a tissue.
Matty took advantage of the conversation to smoke a cigarette while helping his mother. The two were reportedly at dinner with Matty's fiancée, Gabbriette Bechtel.
Then Denise and Matty got up and gave each other a hug before apparently going inside.
