An old video of Meghan Markle has resurfaced online following the shock news that Prince Harry has stepped down from Sentebale — the Lesotho-based charity he co-founded nearly two decades ago.

The clip, which dates back to April 2024, shows the Duchess of Sussex in what many have dubbed an “awkward encounter” with Dr. Sophie Chandauka, the chairwoman of Sentebale, during the Royal Salute Polo Challenge in Florida.

In the footage, Meghan, 43, can be seen directing people around onstage shortly after presenting Harry with the trophy.

When Dr. Chandauka stepped up to stand beside Harry — who had his arm wrapped around Meghan — the Duchess was seen asking her to move to the opposite side, away from Harry.

Dr. Chandauka, appearing caught off guard, ducked under the trophy to follow the direction and was then seen quietly saying something to Meghan, though it was inaudible.

The tense body language sparked conversation even back then — but the moment is now being re-examined in light of the latest drama.

On Tuesday, Prince Harry, 40, released a statement announcing his departure from the charity, citing “unthinkable infighting” as the reason. He also stepped down alongside co-founder Prince Seeiso of Lesotho and trustee Mark Dyer, widely regarded as Harry’s “second dad.”

Following Harry’s announcement, Dr. Chandauka didn’t hold back. In a pointed statement, she took aim at what she called “weak executive management” and accused Harry of “playing the victim card.”
