Prince William makes bold decision as future King

Prince William, who's said to be preparing for his destined role as heir to the British throne, marked key milestone on Thursday.

The Prince of Wales made a bold decision as he as he arrived in Estonia. William's two-day visit to the Baltic state began on March 20, with a meeting with Estonian President Alar Karis where they discussed the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

William's trip was aimed to show support for UK troops guarding Nato's border with Russia.

Kensington Palace released a statement and video footage of highlights after the important meeting.

“A pleasure to meet the President of Estonia, Alar Karis, and recognise the strong historic link between our countries. Thank you for the warm welcome!” the message read.

Prince William told the students: "The Ukrainian resilience is everywhere. You have a very good spirit, very good souls, it's very important."

On Friday, he is due to observe soldiers training in the Baltic state, as part of a multinational force.

The 900 UK troops in Estonia include soldiers from the Mercian Regiment, of which Prince William is colonel-in-chief. This is currently the British Army's biggest operational deployment overseas.
