Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco aren’t rushing to the altar just yet!

The newly engaged couple recently opened up about their relationship, upcoming album I Said I Love You First, and wedding plans in a candid interview with Rolling Stone on Monday.

While Gomez, 32, and Blanco, 37, are deeply in love, they’re not in a hurry to set a wedding date.

"I think every day she’s planned a new wedding in her head," Blanco admitted.

However, he added that they’re taking a laid-back approach, saying, "We’re very much ‘take it one day at a time’-type of people. We’re still not over this moment. Literally, while you were talking, she was sitting there staring at her ring."

For Gomez, their focus right now is their music.

"I genuinely feel like this is such a special time that we get to apply it to this album and really just pour our heart into it," she explained. "That’s my main focus right now, at least."

Back in December 2024, Gomez revealed that Blanco had popped the question with an oval-shaped ring featuring a six-carat marquise diamond.

The proposal itself? A romantic picnic—with a Taco Bell feast. When asked about his low-key approach, Blanco explained that their love story isn’t about grandeur but cherishing the everyday moments.

"There’s not this whole elaborate thing. I think we’re very lucky to be surrounded by such great people, and we’ve still just been enjoying so much," he said.

Blanco reflected on their long history together, revealing that he’s known Gomez since she was 18.

"It feels like we got engaged yesterday, but also feels like we got engaged 20 years ago," he said. "By the time we were dating, it was like, whoa. My biggest regret is that we didn’t get to do this earlier, like we waited this long to be together. But I know it was perfect and it was right."
