Lady Gaga, an iconic American artist, has made her musical comeback with the release of her new album, Mayhem.
One of the most beloved tracks on the album is Blade of Grass, which she wrote with her fiance, venture capitalist Michael Polansky. Gaga, who got engaged to him last year after having dated for four years, said the song is “very special.”
“We started working on that song after we got engaged,” she told USA Today, “A long time ago, we were in the backyard and he said, ‘If I ever propose to you, what should I do?’ I said, ‘You can just wrap a blade of grass around my finger and I'll say yes.’”
“It’s a love song between the two of us, but sometimes when we find love in our lives, it can also help us reflect on what it took to get there,” she continued, “Standing in my backyard, looking out at the ocean, I was thinking about all the people I've left behind or lost along the way. It was this incredibly happy moment and also bittersweet, which is why that record is haunting and beautiful.”
Polansky was born in San Francisco on October 27th, 1978 meanwhile Gaga was born on March 28th, 1986 which makes them 46 and 38 years old, respectively.
