Meghan Thee Stallion was interviewed by comedian Hannah Berner as well as her podcast co-host, Paige DeSorbo at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party.

The interview started off quite chaotic as both the interviewers began to speak over the rapper, as DeSorbo claimed she begins her day by listening to her music.

Berner, on the other hand, bizarrely stated, “Your music has literally like, made me ... when I want to fight someone, I listen to your music.”

“You want to throw that fighting s*** out the window,” Stallion quipped, “You want to get cute and be a bad b****.”

The rapper had had experience with violence in the past, as her ex Tory Lanez was sentenced to ten years in prison and found guilty of three felonies. The conviction happened because he had shot at and wounded Stallion in an incident that took place in 2021.

“Since I was viciously shot by the defendant, I have not experienced a single day of peace,” read a statement that she had written for court, “Slowly but surely, I’m healing and coming back, but I will never be the same.”

Fans quickly took to social media to point out the “microaggressions” in the interview, as one user wrote, “This felt so racist. And they didn’t let her finish most of her sentences.”

“Very micro aggressive. Megs music isn’t about fighting and the fangirling is a spectacle. Please hire real interviewers that know how to talk to black women as PEOPLE and not characters,” added another.
