Pete Davidson reveals major wish amidst sobriety journey

Pete Davidson’s upcoming film Riff Raff has inspired him to seek a shift in his acting career.

The Saturday Night Live alum wishes to play a wider range of roles in upcoming projects.

While speaking with E! News, the Brooklyn Nine-Nine actor opened up about departing from his comedic roles to more meaningful and dramatic screen appearances.

“I would love to do more serious stuff,” he said at the premier of Riff Raff, the crime comedy starring Gabrielle Union, Bill Murray and Jennifer Coolidge.

The 31-year-old continued, “Usually, I'm the pothead friend or the guy that helps the guy get the girl in the movie. So, to be able to hold a gun and play a serious guy was a lot of fun for me.”

Previously in an interview, the King of Staten Island star disclosed his plans about making a major change in his physical appearance, which included him going through the “horrible” process of getting his tattoos removed.

Davidson, known for his relationships with high-profile celebrities such as Ariana Grande and Kim Kardashian, made the significant decision in the wake of his sobriety journey, embracing his desire for an ink free body and more serious roles.
