Meghan Markle is facing fresh criticism ahead of the release of her Netflix show With Love, Meghan, which offers a glimpse into her life inside her lavish California mansion.
Now, royal fans are accusing the Duchess of Sussex of copying Pamela Anderson’s lifestyle and cooking show, Pamela’s Cooking With Love. The similarity in titles and concepts has sparked debate online, with many pointing out the striking resemblance between the two projects.
Anderson’s show was first teased in October 2024, while Meghan’s trailer dropped three months later. Fans quickly noticed the overlapping themes, including gardening, home cooking, and a rustic aesthetic.
In the Baywatch star’s trailer, Anderson is seen strolling through a garden before working in her kitchen, stating: "I love to cook. I just have always wanted to take things to another level."
Meanwhile, Meghan’s teaser features her picking fresh produce and cooking in her airy Montecito kitchen, saying: "I’ve always loved taking something pretty ordinary and elevating it."
The similar dialogue and visual style led fans to believe Meghan’s show lacks originality.
Fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to voice their opinions, with many claiming Meghan mimicked Anderson’s concept. One user wrote: "If you watch the trailer for Pamela’s new show, it’s a more authentic version of what Meghan was trying to achieve & it looks as though Meghan has copied everything! The trailers are so similar it’s freaky."
Another added: "The entire concept is strikingly similar." A third commenter was even more direct: "Markle’s show is a straight copy of Pamela Anderson’s cooking and entertaining show. Go look at the trailer!"
Despite the backlash, Netflix has not responded to the claims, and Meghan has not addressed the controversy surrounding the show’s originality.
The Duchess of Sussex's new show, With Love, Meghan, will premiere on Netflix on March 4. The show follows Meghan as she hosts celebrity guests, cooks, and shares lifestyle tips from her Montecito mansion.
